Skin Imprints of Unknown Dinosaur Species

This rock has been imprinted with a layer of dinosaur scales. One thing to note is that these are not the actual fossilized scales themselves, but just impressions of them. These impressions are created when a dinosaur or similar reptile lays down in a mudpit or similarily wet location. If this mudpit dries up extremely fast, it will cause the scales to remain imprinted into the now rocky mud.

You know how when you have a nap so amazing it literally makes imprints of whatever you were sleeping on into your skin? This fossil is the result of dinosaur equivalent of that, just in a mudpit rather than a pillow.
